SEO and AI visibility for Cowlendar and Big Digital Downloads
SEO, AEO and LLM visibility strategy for the Framer sites of two Shopify apps.
Problem
Cowlendar (bookings) and Big Digital Downloads (digital products) compete on the Shopify App Store against very similar apps. More and more merchants pick apps by asking ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI, and those assistants rarely mentioned them. The Framer sites looked great but weren't built for search engines or AI models to understand.
Approach
I looked at the questions merchants ask before installing a booking or digital downloads app, and at how AI assistants answered them. From there I built a three-layer plan: technical SEO within Framer's limits, content that answers specific questions (AEO), and signals that let LLMs cite the apps with accurate information.
Solution
Reworked page structure and metadata, structured data, comparison and use-case pages written to answer real questions, an llms.txt file summarizing each product, and ongoing tracking of how the apps show up in AI answers.
